At the beginning of 2024, 100 children and young people will immerse themselves in the fascinating world of the “Little Prince”. They will weave the story of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry with the powerful Nordic sounds of Edvard Grieg, Jean Sibelius and others. Behind the “ “Little Prince” is a timeless fairy tale that advocates humanity, friendship and the courage to see the world through different eyes.
The participants freely interpret the classic story in collaboration with the actor Matthias Wagner, bring it to life and explore the musical landscape of Nordic composers with the music educators from Musaik.
The highlight of the project will take place in the heart of Dresden-Prohlis: the public final concert will happen on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the gym of the 121. Oberschule (Gamigstraße 28). This performance not only presents the fruits of the orchestra's work in January but also of an intensive holiday week during the winter holidays. Admission is free.
